"My personal favourites were the various items of tableware by Christine Wellman repeating a Morning Glory and Hibiscus theme - the bowl and mug would be guaranteed to lighten the spirits at breakfast time. The combination of sponging and hand detailing gives a fresh and natural look to her work and the creamy coloured background works perfectly with the delicate greens, purples and yellows". - Raymond Hainey, The Royal Gazette '96, Bermuda
"We bought some of your lovely ceramic pieces at the Sonesta (Wyndham). I just wanted to tell you how glad we are we did. Unfortunately, I gave away my beautiful fish tile ... but I still have the charming fish motif bowl. Brian will be giving the beautiful floral "Bermuda triangle" plate to his mother ... I 'm sure she'll be delighted ... Good luck with your very unusual, very attractive ceramics work." - Rick S., USA (Wyndham, Bermuda guest)
"The ceramics you created are beautiful, and I am so excited that I am able to present a piece designed by you at a bridal shower this week-end" - Janet S., USA
"On my first visit to Bermuda I shopped the stores in Hamilton and the Dockyard hunting for the ideal gift for our conference delegates. I needed something that embodied the feeling I had while visiting your great island and yet was practical and useful for our guests. I saw many items that, unfortunately, were not made in Bermuda or were mass produced. Then I walked into one store and saw this great ceramics display that seemed to represent Bermuda perfectly, whilst not being "over-the-top". I needed something that would appeal to men and women alike. When I saw your parrotfish and hibiscus flower designs I breathed a sigh of relief because I knew I found the perfect gift - the perfect gift made entirely by hand in Bermuda at your OMax Studio. What could be better? But it did get better - I met you in your home where you showed me various designs and offered many options for what would end up being the perfect delegate gift. I came back to Canada and soon an order was placed for over 50 custom made parrotfish bowls for our delegate gifts, all personalized for our conference. The warmth of your personality comes through in your ceramic ware. You are a talented and creative artist and, Christine, I'm so glad we had the opportunity to meet on a number of occasions throughout the planning process. Last weekend you passed the gifts on "from your hands" to mine and I thank you not only for the beautiful bowls made especially for our group, but also for being such a pleasure to work with. Your bowls have now found a home in over eight countries represented at our conference and will always be a reminder of the wonderful Bermuda 2003 conference. Christine, thank you for all your hard work and professionalism in carrying out all promises on time." - Maryann H., Canada
